Art has always been a passion for me so a few years after my B.F.A. I received a M.F.A. from The Maryland Institute College of Art in 1979. I loved the wet darkroom with its chemicals, photographic papers, and the creativity required in the making of a fine art print.
Given today’s digital technology, post processing of my images have offered me a more diversified palette with new possibilities.
What I love about the PHOTOGRAPHIC process is it can be very personal, but it can also be shared with others. We all have that favorite picture, song, etc., and it speaks to us. My goal is to produce photographic images that can do the same. I want my photographs to have meaning to myself, but also to the viewer. Photographs that are just beautiful are not enough for me, I want to make the viewer think and feel after viewing my images.
There are always two people in every picture: the photographer and the viewer. ~Ansel Adams
